How We Support
Architects & Specifiers
ModernGlide works closely with architects, interior designers and acoustic consultants to ensure operable wall systems for architects are correctly specified for each commercial architectural project. Our technical team is available throughout the specification process — from early design to tender stage.
System Selection Guidance
Advise on the most appropriate movable acoustic wall specification based on acoustic requirements, aesthetics, structural constraints and budget. We help design teams select between solid, glazed and electric operable wall systems.
Acoustic Performance Guidance
Rw acoustic performance data for all products to assist acoustic consultants in meeting project performance targets. We can provide acoustic test certificates and performance data for all MG Series products.
Technical Design Advice
Review project drawings, advise on structural requirements, track positioning, services coordination and confirm system compatibility before specification is finalised.
Space Planning Considerations
Advise on stacking space requirements, panel travel paths, pocket configurations and how to incorporate operable wall systems into flexible building layouts without compromising circulation.

Selecting the Right System
for Your Project
Choosing the correct operable wall system depends on several key project requirements. Use this guide to identify which ModernGlide system is most appropriate — or contact our technical team for project-specific guidance on movable acoustic wall specification.
Acoustic Performance
Define your required Rw rating first. Solid panel systems (MG100, MG200) achieve up to Rw 59 dB for high-performance acoustic separation. Glazed systems (MG500, MG600) offer Rw 43–50 dB with natural light transmission.
Panel Size Requirements
Panel width and opening height determine which system is appropriate. The MG100 accommodates panels up to 1,250mm wide and heights up to 12,000mm. Smaller openings may suit the MG200 or MG400 sliding wall systems.
System Configuration
Consider stacking arrangement (pocket, end, split or parking bay), track type (single or multi-track) and whether a pass door is required. Stacking space must be incorporated into the floor plan at design stage.
Space Flexibility
For maximum flexibility, the MG100E fully electric system operates at the touch of a button — ideal for conference centres, hotels and large corporate offices. For design-led spaces, the MG900 Crittall-style glazed system offers a contemporary aesthetic.
Not Sure Which System Is Right for Your Project?
Our technical team can review your project requirements and recommend the most appropriate sliding folding partition specification or movable acoustic wall system for your design.
