Quick Answers

What is the MG200?

A floor-supported hinged folding partition system. Panels fold accordion-style and the load transfers through the floor track — not the ceiling.

Who is it for?

Buildings where ceiling structure cannot support a top-hung operable wall. Ideal for schools, community halls, meeting rooms and training spaces.

What acoustic rating does it achieve?

Rw 42 dB (standard) to Rw 49 dB (high performance). All ratings are independently tested to ISO 140-3.

Does it include a pass door?

Yes. An integrated acoustic pass door is included as standard in every MG200 system.

What is the MG200 Movable Wall? Floor-Supported Hinged Folding Partition

The MG200 is a floor-supported hinged folding partition system designed for projects where the ceiling structure cannot support a top-hung operable wall. Unlike top-hung systems such as the MG100, the MG200 transfers its primary load through the floor track — making it a practical solution for buildings with limited overhead structural capacity.

Panels are connected and fold concertina-style, allowing large openings to be created or closed rapidly by a single operator. The system achieves acoustic ratings up to Rw 49 dB and includes an integrated pass door as standard.

The MG200 is commonly specified for meeting rooms, training spaces, school halls, community buildings and churches — wherever flexible space division is required and a top-hung system is not practical.

How It Works

How Does the MG200 Hinged Folding System Work?

The MG200 uses a hinged, accordion-fold mechanism. Individual panels are connected by hinges along their vertical edges. When the partition is opened, panels fold together concertina-style and stack neatly at one or both ends of the opening.

The system runs along a floor track, with an overhead guide rail providing lateral stability. The primary structural load is transferred through the floor — this is the key difference from a top-hung operable wall, which requires a structurally capable ceiling above.

01

Floor Track Guides Operation

The MG200 runs along a robust floor track. Load transfers through the floor, not the ceiling structure.

02

Panels Fold Concertina-Style

Hinged panels fold together and stack at one or both ends of the opening, creating a wide, unobstructed space.

03

Perimeter Seals Engage

When closed, top, bottom and edge seals compress against the surrounding structure to achieve the rated acoustic performance.

04

Pass Door Provides Daily Access

The integrated pass door allows routine access without opening the full partition system.

When to choose the MG200: Specify the MG200 when the ceiling structure cannot support a top-hung operable wall, when a cost-effective solution is required, or when an integrated pass door is a specification requirement.

Integrated Access Door

Why Does the MG200 Include a Pass Door as Standard?

The MG200 is supplied with an integrated pass door within the panel set as standard. This allows day-to-day access between divided spaces without needing to open the full partition — a practical feature for regularly used rooms such as meeting rooms, training spaces and community halls.

The pass door is acoustic-rated and designed to match the surrounding panel finish, maintaining the visual integrity and acoustic performance of the partition when closed.

Integrated as Standard

Pass door supplied within the panel set — no additional cost or configuration required.

Day-to-Day Access

Open and close the access door independently without disturbing the full partition.

Acoustic-Rated

The pass door maintains the acoustic integrity of the partition when closed.

Matched Finish

Door finish matches the surrounding panel set for a seamless, uniform appearance.

About these videos: The MG200 product demonstration videos above show how the movable acoustic wall system operates in practice. Each video illustrates a different configuration or stacking option, demonstrating how panels move along the overhead track, how they fold and stack into the designated parking area, and how the acoustic seals engage to create a high-performance sound barrier. These demonstrations help architects, interior designers and project managers understand the operational simplicity and flexibility of the MG200 system before specifying or installing.

Key Features

What Makes the MG200 Different?

The MG200 is the only system in the MG range that is floor-supported — making it the right choice when ceiling structure is a constraint.

High Acoustic Performance

Certified Rw ratings up to 49 dB. Suitable for meeting rooms, training spaces, education environments and community buildings requiring effective sound separation.

Accordion Fold Operation

Panels hinge together and fold concertina-style for rapid opening and closing. A single operator can reconfigure the space without specialist training or tools.

Floor-Supported Design

Primary load transfers through the floor track — ideal for buildings where ceiling structure cannot support a top-hung operable wall system.

Integrated Pass Door

Standard access door integrated within the panel set, allowing convenient day-to-day access without fully opening the partition.

Bi-Parting Configurations

Available in single-stack and bi-parting configurations where panels stack at both ends of the opening, allowing spans of up to approximately 14,000 mm.
