Acoustic Performance.
Environmental Responsibility.

At ModernGlide and PanelHush, we believe the spaces we shape should not only sound better — they should be better for the planet. Every product we specify and supply is chosen with both performance and environmental impact in mind.

From recycled PET acoustic panels to movable acoustic wall systems engineered for long-term use, our commitment to sustainability is embedded in everything we do — supporting BREEAM, LEED and WELL building standards across the UK.

Our Commitment

Sustainable Acoustic Solutions
for the Built Environment

Brilliant acoustics and environmental responsibility are not mutually exclusive. PanelHush PET acoustic panels deliver outstanding sound absorption while being manufactured from at least 75% post-consumer recycled PET bottles — diverting plastic waste from landfill and giving it a long-lasting, functional second life.

Our movable acoustic wall systems from ModernGlide are engineered for longevity. A system installed correctly and maintained properly will serve a building for decades — reducing the environmental cost of repeated refurbishment and replacement that comes with lower-quality alternatives.

Whether you are specifying to achieve BREEAM credits, LEED points, WELL features or Passive House compliance, ModernGlide and PanelHush products are designed to support your sustainability targets without compromise on acoustic performance or design quality.

Environmental Principles

How We Approach
Sustainability

Our environmental approach is built on four clear principles — from the materials we choose to the way our products perform throughout their entire lifecycle.

Transforming Waste into Value

Every PanelHush PET acoustic panel is manufactured from a minimum of 75% post-consumer recycled PET bottles. A single 24mm panel absorbs the equivalent of 143 plastic bottles per square metre — giving waste a purposeful second life as a high-performance acoustic material.

Silencing Noise, Not Nature

Our eco-conscious manufacturing processes are engineered to reduce energy consumption, minimise waste at source and eliminate harmful chemicals. PanelHush PET panels contain no formaldehyde binders, carry GREENGUARD Gold certification and are tested to ISO 16000 for VOC emissions.

Responsible Manufacturing

Our manufacturing partners operate to the highest environmental standards, using renewable energy sources and sustainable production methods. This commitment runs from raw material sourcing through to product delivery and end-of-life recyclability.

End-of-Life Recyclability

PanelHush PET panels are fully recyclable at the end of their service life. Unlike many acoustic materials, they do not contribute to landfill — they can be returned to the recycling stream and transformed into new products, completing a genuine circular material lifecycle.

Movable Acoustic Walls

Sustainability Through
Flexibility & Longevity

ModernGlide movable acoustic wall systems contribute to sustainability in a fundamentally different way — through adaptability. A single flexible space that can be configured as one large room or subdivided into multiple smaller rooms eliminates the need for repeated building works, reducing the carbon cost of refurbishment over the lifetime of a building.

Operable walls are engineered for decades of reliable use. With planned maintenance and servicing, a ModernGlide system will continue performing to specification long after a fixed partition would have been demolished and replaced — representing a significantly lower whole-life environmental impact per square metre of usable space.

Combining ModernGlide movable walls with PanelHush PET acoustic panels creates a complete, sustainable acoustic interior — flexible, high-performing and built with materials that carry independently verified environmental credentials.

Reduced Whole-Life Carbon

Flexible spaces that adapt to changing needs avoid the repeated carbon cost of demolition and reconstruction — a significant environmental benefit over the full building lifecycle.

Circular Material Choices

PanelHush PET panels are made from recycled materials and are themselves recyclable at end of life — keeping materials in use and out of landfill.

Energy-Efficient Spaces

Movable acoustic walls allow spaces to be right-sized for occupancy — reducing heating, cooling and lighting energy in underutilised areas.

Supporting Net Zero Targets

Low embodied carbon materials, long service life and adaptable design all contribute to a building's pathway towards net zero operational and embodied carbon.

A Future in Harmony

Sustainable Acoustics.
Exceptional Performance.

Outstanding acoustic performance should never come at the cost of the environment. With every PanelHush panel and ModernGlide wall system, we are helping to create spaces that are as gentle on the planet as they are on the ear.
