A growing congregation needed flexible, multi-use spaces
Orpington Church found that its main hall — a large, open space — could not accommodate the varied needs of a growing congregation. Different activities needed to run simultaneously: worship, youth groups, community meetings, and social events.
Without division, sound bleed between activities made simultaneous use impractical. The church required a solution that was acoustically effective, visually sympathetic to the existing building, and simple enough for a single member of staff to operate without specialist training.
Budget was also a consideration. The project was initially over the client's budget — so ModernGlide needed to identify a cost-effective alternative that did not compromise on quality or performance.
