MG500 Straight Sliding Glazed Acoustic Doors: Seamless Light, Style and Sound Control
The perfect fusion of acoustic performance and modern interior design — delivering Rw up to 42 dB across large-span glazed openings without compromising natural light or visual connectivity.
About This Installation
Where Glass Meets Acoustic Engineering
Our latest installation of the MG500 Straight Sliding Glazed Acoustic Doors demonstrates the perfect fusion of acoustic performance and modern interior design. With one impressive opening at 5000mm × 2700mm and another at 2000mm × 2700mm, these glazed operable walls provide expansive access between spaces while maintaining excellent sound insulation.
The MG500 system is engineered for environments where natural light and visual openness are non-negotiable design requirements, yet acoustic separation is equally critical. Unlike opaque movable walls, the flush glazed panels allow daylight to travel freely across divided zones — preserving the sense of space while providing the privacy and quiet that meeting rooms, conference spaces, and focus areas demand.
Straight sliding operation means panels glide along a single top-hung aluminium track with no floor guide required. This delivers a completely unobstructed threshold — ideal for high-traffic circulation routes and buildings requiring DDA-compliant access. When open, panels park neatly to the side; when closed, the acoustic seals engage to achieve the rated Rw performance.

System Engineering
Six Features That Define the MG500
Flush Glazed Panel Construction
Frameless glass panels sit flush within the track system, creating an uninterrupted visual plane with no protruding hardware to interrupt the clean architectural line.
Acoustic Seals — Rw up to 42 dB
Precision-engineered perimeter seals engage automatically when panels are closed, delivering verified acoustic separation up to Rw 42 dB — suitable for meeting rooms, offices, and educational spaces.
Straight Sliding Operation
Panels glide effortlessly along a top-hung aluminium track with no floor guide required. The straight sliding configuration allows large openings to be cleared quickly and stored neatly.
Maximum Natural Light Transmission
Full-height clear or tinted glazing transmits daylight across the full opening width, preserving the visual connection between spaces even when the acoustic barrier is engaged.
Low Iron or Clear Safety Glass
All panels are glazed with low iron or clear glass with 2 layers forming an acoustic seal, to BS EN 12150 or BS EN ISO 12543, ensuring compliance with building regulations and providing peace of mind.
Custom Sizes to 5000mm Wide
The MG500 system accommodates large-span openings. This installation features one opening at 5000mm × 2700mm and a second at 2000mm × 2700mm — both operated by a single person.
