Product Description
The MG400 is a high-performance sliding wall and pocket door system — a top-hung operable partition where panels slide along an overhead aluminium track and park in a concealed pocket within the wall construction. When open, the panels disappear entirely, creating a completely flush wall finish with no visible storage.
Acoustic performance up to Rw 43 dB is achieved through panel construction and perimeter sealing, independently tested to ISO 140-3 and rated in accordance with ISO 717-1. With panel heights up to 4,000 mm and a wide choice of premium finishes including natural veneers, high-pressure laminates and fabric, the MG400 integrates effortlessly into high-specification office, hospitality and residential interiors. The system is installed by ModernGlide's FIS-accredited team with full project management from survey through to commissioning and handover.

Acoustic Performance Grades
All ratings independently laboratory tested to ISO 140-3 and rated in accordance with ISO 717-1.
| Grade | Rw Rating | Recommended Application |
|---|---|---|
| MG400 Standard | Rw 38 dB | Suitable for general office subdivision and open-plan separation |
| MG400 Enhanced | Rw 43 dB | Private meeting rooms, quiet zones and confidential workspaces |
Acoustic performance is achieved through panel mass, multi-layer panel construction with acoustic infill, and automatic top and bottom rubber seals. Edge profile rubber seals minimise flanking paths between panels.

Acoustic Sealing Systems
Typical Applications
Specifier Guidance
Recommended Acoustic Performance
- General office subdivision: Rw 38 dB
- Private meeting rooms: Rw 43 dB
- For higher performance, consider MG100 (Rw up to 59 dB)
- For glazed system at same Rw, consider MG500
- All ratings to ISO 140-3 / ISO 717-1
Key Specification Considerations
- Pocket wall construction and structural depth must be confirmed early
- Ceiling track recess coordination with contractor at design stage
- Panel finish and veneer grain matching requirements
- Recessed vs surface-mounted track preference
- Glazing requirements — solid or mixed panels
- Usage frequency and finish durability
- Engage at RIBA Stage 2 or 3 for pocket coordination
