Product Description

The MG600 is a premium flush glazed operable wall system — a top-hung acoustic glass movable wall delivering Rw 45 to 50 dB with no floor track required. Independent glazed panels slide along an overhead aluminium track and stack when not in use, delivering uninterrupted flooring and a clean architectural finish throughout the space.

Acoustic performance is achieved through high-quality glazing combined with retractable top and bottom acoustic seals that deploy when panels are in the closed position — independently tested to ISO 140-3 and rated in accordance with ISO 717-1. The MG600 is the correct choice when both architectural transparency and high acoustic performance above Rw 43 dB are required, or when panel heights exceed 3,200 mm. The system is installed by ModernGlide's FIS-accredited team with full project management from survey through to commissioning and handover.

Specifier Guidance

Recommended Acoustic Performance

  • Conference suites and boardrooms: Rw 45 dB
  • High-specification commercial interiors: Rw 50 dB
  • Where Rw 50 dB is insufficient: specify MG100 solid system
  • Where Rw 43 dB is sufficient: consider MG500 instead
  • All ratings to ISO 140-3 / ISO 717-1

Key Specification Considerations

  • Structural capacity for overhead track — heavier than MG500 due to 110 mm panel thickness
  • Stacking bay must accommodate full panel run when open
  • Retractable seal system: confirm manual or semi-electric at design stage
  • No floor track — coordinate with flooring contractor for clean threshold
  • Manifestation required under Building Regs Part M
  • Access door type (full height or inset) to be confirmed at design stage
  • Engage at RIBA Stage 2 or 3 for stacking arrangement coordination

Available Documentation

  • CAD drawings (PDF and DWG)
  • BIM objects (Revit compatible)
  • Acoustic test certificates
