Project title: Digital Catapult
Location: Euston Road, London
Main Contractor: Action Workspace
Project Manager: Mick Cheeseman
Value: £30,000.00
Project description:
This was a very challenging contract for many reasons, firstly we were given the
task of surveying the site, producing the drawings, manufacture of the system
and installation within seven weeks, added to this was the specification of
integrating our solid movable wall MG100 and flush glazed MG600 system.
The design was for two identical partitions that had a right angle junction and
each system to include a set of double doors, the main finish was a white
laminate with the double doors in a veneer finish and the glazed panels to have a
black frit border.
The head track was fitted to the concrete soffit with a void of 500mm, the issue
with the track installation was that there was an existing tubular steel ceiling
detail and we worked closely with the contractor to achieve a very aesthetically
pleasing appearance and this was also assisted by the head track being powder
coated in a black finish.
The panel installation proved challenging as the working area was on the 9 th floor
and the only access was via the staircase that had a very high specification
plaster finish. We had 10 men hauling the panels and the client was very
impressed that there were no marks or damage caused by our panels.
Overview:
The project was a complete success and completed within programme and the
end user was thrilled with not only the appearance of the systems but how easily
they moved and operated.
